This project emulates the keyboard of Commodore 64. It allows one to send a string of characters, or interactively type in characters, from a PC/Mac/Linux computer, and have it displayed on the C64 screen. The project is just another take on microcontroller + crosspoint switch + keyboard combination. When I built it, I was convinced nobody had. For emulator users, we recommend VICE, as it works on a variety of operating systems and is very user friendly. VICE is an emulator collection which emulates the C64, the C64-DTV, the C128, the VIC20, practically all PET models, the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610). In fact, we've even included a pre-configured Windows, Mac and Linux version of the emulator with the download as well as some simple user instructions (we're nice like that).200MHz) Macintosh to run properly. Id love to play some C64 games on Openemu,every other C64 emulator is pretty complex, and it would be awesome to play games from C64 without the bother of Complex and confusing hurdles that make it annoying trying to emulate C64 games on Mac.
